Privacy Policy
Soak It In is a text-message service, operated by Dain Kasprak as a sole proprietor, that saves the insights you text in and sends them back to you at useful moments. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the website at soakit.in and the Soak It In text messages.
What we collect
- Sign-up details: your name and mobile number, the date you agreed to receive texts, and which version of the consent wording you agreed to.
- Your messages: the texts, voice memos and images you send, and what we derive from them to make the service work: transcripts, summaries, tags and when you'd like an insight to come back.
- Usage events: for example, that an insight was saved, a reminder was sent, or you replied to one. These help us learn whether the service is useful during the test.
- Settings: such as your time zone, quiet hours and whether reminders are paused.
The website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use this information only to run Soak It In: to save your insights, send them back as reminders, answer your questions, and understand during the test whether the service helps. We don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the service, stores your data, and sends and receives the text messages. Voice memos are transcribed by Amazon Transcribe.
- Anthropic processes the content of your messages through its API, to summarize and tag insights, find relevant ones when you ask, and reword reminders. Anthropic doesn't train its models on API data by default.
We don't sell your personal information.
Text messaging and your mobile number
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties that handle your number are the service providers listed above, and only to deliver the service.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- Text DELETE ALL at any time to permanently delete your insights, messages, scheduled reminders and any stored media.
- Text STOP to stop all messages.
- Soak It In is currently a short test. When the test ends, we delete everyone's data unless you ask us to keep yours.
- To delete a sign-up request you made on this website, or for anything else, email soaked.it.in@gmail.com.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to the parts of the service that need it, and message contents aren't written to logs. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't text anything you'd be harmed by if it were exposed, such as passwords or financial details.
Children
Soak It In is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and we'll let you know by text before any significant change takes effect.
